Bacardi Senior Corporate Counsel to Join Salazar Jackson, Serve as Co-Chair to Corporate Department

Miami-based business law powerhouse Salazar Jackson, LLP has snagged former Bacardi Senior Corporate Counsel Rafael Prohias to Co-Chair the firm’s Corporate Department. Prohias spent nearly nine years with Bacardi-Martini, Inc. and has advised domestic and international clients for more than 20 years in the areas of corporate and business law, both as a member of multinational law firms and as a senior in-house attorney and advisor. His background includes work with Hunton & Williams and Greenberg Traurig.
“Ralph has an extraordinary breadth of experience on a broad range of corporate matters, from mergers and acquisitions, to emerging company issues and compliance. With his background at Bacardi, he is also deeply skilled in cross-border matters,” said Luis Salazar, firm Cofounder.
Prohias’ practice will focus on corporate law and corporate finance. He counsels corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, debt and equity offerings and secured lending.

Prohias earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and his juris doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Florida and Virginia. He is fluent in Spanish.
