New privacy audit shows Facebook warming up to watchdogs

Sept. 21, 2012 - Law 360 - The Irish data protection commissioner revealed in a follow-up audit Friday that Facebook Inc. had agreed to delete facial recognition features and related user data in the European Union by Oct. 15, a concession that experts say demonstrates the newly public company's increased willingness to work with regulators instead of pushing its own information collection agenda.
